FAQs
What is a balayage?
A balayage is a lived-in colour that can be applied in various ways. Free hand, Foiling and Root melting. All these ways can created incredible lived in colours suitable for your hair. Dependant on your hair type determines which way is best. A balayage still require maintenance along with any colour, but can be stretched that little while longer. Ideal for those that have busy lifestyles, like to keep depth whilst going lighter or to dabble on the lighter side.
What is a Keratin treatment?
This product is a life saver for those who have frizzy untamed hair. Say goodbye to the daily use of straighteners and hello to shiny smooth hair. This is NOT a chemical straightening system but a smoothing treatment. Using the brand Bhave, Keratin is extracted from sheep’s wool- totally safe for the animal. The Keratin from the wool mirrors the keratin technology we have. When the hair is infused with the keratin treatment, it helps to rebuild the hair from the inside out, helping to strengthen it along side taming that frizz and creating smooth and shiny hair. Styling time is reduced and manageability is so much easier with out the use of straighteners. Typically lasts 3-4 months and wears off unlike chemical straightening.
Why does my blonde go dull?
This is the bane of all blondes and unfortunately ash is not a natural colour. However we all want it. Blondes go dull for a number of factors, one being pollution, unfortunately there is nothing we can do about this but the products we use can help eliminate the brassiness. Bhave Bombshell shampoo and conditioner or Bhave intense toning mask is great. There is no getting away from those warmer undertones that always seep through without constant toning. Porous hair wont hold a toner long so straightening can play a big part in this too.
How long does a balayage take?
Typically a balayage takes 5-6 hours. I tend to do a lot of my balayage with foil work, however some freehand but it’s dependant on the hair type and previous colour. Included in this time is a toner treatment and cut and blow dry. So with this I would allow the time. Good hair needs time.
